This is a private reference site, not a Whiteside County or Illinois government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, arrange a visit, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the office that maintains the record or custody system.

Choose the Correct Record Route

Different offices answer different questions. The links below help narrow the correct source before a call or written request.

Whiteside Sheriff and Jail

Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and Jail
400 N. Cherry St.
Morrison, IL 61270
Sheriff: 815-772-4044
Jail: 815-772-5203
Records: 815-772-5217

Public office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with holidays closed. Records maintains Sheriff reports and jail booking records in physical and electronic form. Ask for the existing date, time, authority, release or transfer type, and destination fields when recorded.

Whiteside County FOIA

County Administrator’s Office
200 E. Knox St.
Morrison, IL 61270
815-772-5100

Use the county FOIA form and identify “Sheriff/Whiteside County Jail” as the record source. The county need not create a report that does not exist, so describe the booking, release, or transfer document rather than asking the office to answer a general question.

Whiteside Court Record Offices

Circuit Clerk, Morrison
200 E. Knox St., Morrison, IL 61270
815-772-5188

Eastern Branch, Sterling
101 E. Third St., Sterling, IL
815-535-4530

Certified case records come from the Circuit Clerk, not Judici. For adult probation, Whiteside County Court Services can be reached at 815-772-5190 in Morrison or 815-535-4550 in Sterling. County probation is separate from IDOC parole.

Illinois VINE is available at 1-866-566-8439 and through the Illinois VINELink portal. Current state materials describe round-the-clock multilingual phone access. Hearing or speech users should follow the current Attorney General direction to dial 7-1-1. Prisoner Review Board schedules and results belong on the official PRB hearing pages, not with county probation.
